04.       Approval of Statewide Child Nutrition Purchasing Program’s FY 2006 Financial Statement and FY 2007 Fee Structure  

05.       Approval to award competitive contract to Dairy Fresh of Alabama to provide distribution of milk products to local organizations in the State Food Purchasing Program (Region 7 in the State)

06.       Approval of revision to State Board policy JDF-1 (Discipline, Reporting)

            (Has cleared the Administrative Procedures Act process with public    comments)

07.       Approval of contract with Magee Enterprises, Inc. to provide the Instructional Management System for the Agriculture and Environmental Science and Technology (AEST) program

08.       Approval to continue in effect Board’s Declaration of State of Emergency

            based on the findings that, pursuant to the continuing proclamation issued

            by the Governor of the State of Mississippi, a state of emergency

            continues to exist as a result of Hurricane Katrina and that, pursuant to

            the provisions of the Hurricane Education Recovery Act, federal funds

            have been allocated to address educational needs resulting from this

            disaster

09.       Approval of the FY 2008 Budget Request

10.       Approval to revise language in current State Board Policy DFBI to reflect changes in the rules and regulations regarding the administration of funds appropriated for Education Enhancement Funds for Classroom Supplies and Materials

11.       Approval of estimated FY 2008 Base Student Cost

18.     Approval to begin the Administrative Procedures Act process:  To approve 

Mississippi Alternate Assessment of Extended Curriculum Frameworks (MAAECF) Student Proficiency Level (Cut) Scores and General Student Proficiency Level Descriptors

19.       Approval of appointments to the Commission on School Accreditation

20.       Approval to award grants for Hurricane Katrina Education Recovery Act through the Impact Aid for Displaced Students

21.       Approval to award competitive grants for the Migrant Education Program (Year 2 of a 3 Year subgrant)

23.       Approval to begin the Administrative Procedures Act process:  To establish Cut Scores for Validated Praxis II Exams, as recommended by the Commission on Teacher and Administrator Education, Certification, and Licensure Development

24.       Approved to begin the Administrative Procedures Act process:  To revise the Current Five-Year Educator License – School Psychologist policy from “Complete an approved specialist degree program in school psychology” to “Complete a specialist degree or equivalent program approved by the National Association of School Psychologist (NASP) as recommended by the Commission on Teacher and Administrator Education, Certification and Licensure Development

25.       Approval of the Mississippi School of the Arts calendar for school year 2006-2007

27.       Approval to revise the Admissions Criteria for the Mississippi School of the Arts (Has cleared the Administrative Procedures Act process with no public comment)
